Prohibited Businesses

Businesses I Don’t Work With

I need to be upfront about something. There are certain types of businesses I won’t work with, no matter how much they’re willing to pay.

This isn’t about being judgmental. It’s about integrity and alignment. I’ve built my reputation on trust, honesty, and doing work that matters. I can’t maintain that reputation if I’m helping businesses that violate my values or operate outside the law.

Why This Matters

Digital marketing is powerful. The strategies I use can help businesses grow and reach more customers. But that power comes with responsibility.

I believe marketing should serve the greater good, not just profit. I want to look back on my work and feel good about the businesses I helped grow. I want to sleep well at night knowing I’m not contributing to harm.

So I’ve drawn some clear lines about who I will and won’t work with.

Businesses I Won’t Serve

If your business involves any of the following, I can’t help you. I’m sorry, but these are non-negotiable:

Illegal Products or Services

Anything that’s illegal in the jurisdictions where you operate. If you’re breaking the law, I can’t and won’t help you market your business.

Hate Speech, Discrimination, or Violence

Businesses that promote hate, violence, harassment, discrimination, or exploitation based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age. There’s no place for this, and I won’t be part of it.

Adult Content and Services

This includes pornography, adult entertainment, escort services, or anything sexually explicit in nature.

Tobacco Products

Cigarettes, cigars, vaping products, chewing tobacco, and related paraphernalia.

Firearms, Ammunition, and Explosives

I don’t work with businesses that sell firearms, ammunition, or explosives.

Illegal Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia

This includes illegal drugs and any equipment designed for making or using drugs.

Counterfeit or Pirated Goods

Knock-offs, counterfeit products, or pirated goods that violate intellectual property rights.

Gambling and Betting

Casinos, sports betting, online gambling, and other forms of betting.

Multi-Level Marketing Schemes

Pyramid schemes or questionable MLM practices that exploit people.

Significant Environmental Harm

Companies involved in activities that cause significant environmental damage, including major pollution, deforestation, or ecological destruction.

Political Campaigns and Lobbying

I don’t promote political campaigns or lobbying activities. I’m happy to work with advocacy organizations focused on community issues, but direct political campaigning is outside my scope.

How I Enforce This

Before We Work Together: I do my homework on every potential client. If something raises a red flag, I’ll ask questions. If your business falls into any of the categories above, I’ll respectfully decline.

During Our Partnership: If I discover that your business has shifted into prohibited territory after we’ve started working together, I’ll terminate our agreement immediately.

No Exceptions: I don’t make exceptions to this policy, even for large contracts or long-term relationships.

What If You’re Unsure?

If you’re reading this and thinking, “I’m not sure if my business fits,” just ask me. I’d rather have an honest conversation upfront than discover an issue later.

I’m not here to judge your business unfairly. But I do need to maintain clear boundaries about the work I take on.

Updates to This Policy

I reserve the right to update this policy at any time. If you’re a current client and I make changes that affect our working relationship, I’ll notify you directly.

This website is owned by Be Famous Media LLC, which supports and enforces this policy.
