Most of us have used a chatbot, but most usually leave me frustrated. Maybe you’ve had a similar experience?
The main issue I find with most chatbots is their answers are limited and based on how they were programmed or scripted. Some are not much more than a fancy search function of “help articles” or “FAQs”.
This is certainly not the case with ChatGPT.
Let’s give it a try.
I could have used this in school!
What is ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is an OpenAI large language model. This is a variant on the GPT (Generative Pretraining Transformer) model. It was trained using a large dataset of internet texts and then fine-tuned to perform tasks like language translation, question answering and text completion. It can generate human-like text and be used in many applications, such as chatbots or language-based interfaces.
How does ChatGPT work?
ChatGPT is a chatbot that uses large language models and was developed by OpenAI based upon GPT-3.5. It can interact with users in conversational dialogue and respond to surprisingly human questions. Large language models are used to predict the next word from a set of words.
Is ChatGPT free
Yes, as of the publishing of this article, ChatGTP is free… but this is just a learning period. My guess is that there will be a PRO version or some fee based on usage or pre-bought credits. Time will tell.
What are ChatGPT’s limitations?
ChatGPT is not perfect, but it does look impressive. ChatGPT’s limitations include the inability to correctly answer specific questions, which means that it will need to be rewritten to make the input question understandable.
The model’s inability to deliver quality responses is another limitation. These can sometimes sound plausible but may not make sense in practice or be too verbose. The model does not ask for clarification on an ambiguous question but instead guesses what you are asking.
This can lead to incorrect responses. This has already led StackOverflow, a developer question-and-answer site, to temporarily ban ChatGPT-generated responses to.
Conclusion Written by ChatGPT
In conclusion, ChatGPT is a powerful language model developed by OpenAI that has the ability to generate human-like text.
It can be used for a variety of applications such as chatbots, language translation, and text summarization. Due to its large capacity, it can understand and respond to a wide range of topics and questions.
However, it is important to note that like any AI model, ChatGPT is only as good as the data it is trained on, and it may not always produce accurate or appropriate responses.
Overall, ChatGPT is a promising tool for natural language processing and understanding.
