About Mr Phil Tucker
The truth is Mr. Phil Tucker is a persona I have built over the years – the aspect of my character that I presented to or perceived by others.
I believe we are all on a journey… mine is one of self-mastery – something I think we all should aspire towards.
My mission statement encapsulates this idea:
I desire to live each day with integrity and compassion, maintaining a consistently positive attitude while exercising the gifts I have been given to enrich and in-service to those around me.
I am a self-taught web developer, search engine optimizer, and internet marketer, continuously educating myself and my clients on new techniques, trends, tips, and tricks… most of which I share on various blogs, like MrPhilTucker.com
My desire is to help individuals and business owners succeed – personally and professionally – especially online. I do this by creating marketing campaigns that generate revenue and increase brand awareness.
Over the years, I have found that a key to business success is listening to the needs of my clients and partner with them.
This is not always an easy process… but I have learned that when my success directly connected to the results – my clients are truly my partners.
To sum it up: the better my clients do – the better I do.
I am a follower of Jesus, devoted husband, and uncle. I love spending time with family & friends and working in my front yard garden. Born in Syracuse NY, I now call Lynchburg VA home… and would certainly be considered an “east-coaster”. I have not traveled outside the US, but did spend three weeks in Thailand
One of my all-time favorite mentors, Jim Rohn, once said:
Learning is the beginning of wealth. Learning is the beginning of health. Learning is the beginning of spirituality. Searching and learning is where the miracle process all begins.
Something I would suggest to anyone who desires to become more successful is to start reading self-development and non-fiction books. Start with the goal of consuming 1 book per month.
Once you are able to achieve this goal consistently – increase the number of books per month to 4 or even 5. Most CEOs read an average of 1 book per week.
This will seem strange to some around you since about a quarter of American adults (27%) say they haven’t read a book in whole or in part in the past year, whether in print, electronic or audio form – according to Pew Research.
Their study also reported that adults with annual household incomes of $30,000 or less are about three times as likely as the most affluent adults to be non-book readers.
The more I learn about the habits of the most successful among us, I saw reading as one of the keys that seem to unlock the door to success and becoming financially independent… this is why I started to consume books, especially on the subject of personal growth.
It took a few years, but I now average 1 book per week. If you want to see what I am reading… check out My Reading List.
One of the ways I “pay-it-forward” is by offering Financial Coaching at no-charge and teaching Financial Peace University multiple per year – Financial Peace University will help you take control of your money, plan for your future, and transform your life.
Financial Peace University—our bestselling course—has helped nearly 6 million people discover the right way to handle money. Dave Ramsey, Rachel Cruze, and Chris Hogan teach the timeless principles of paying off debt, saving, and investing for the future.
Dave Ramsey’s FPU is a life-changing class that has impacted my life in such a huge way… using the principles Dave teaches, my wife and I were able to become debt-free – including our house – with the goal of building wealth and being ridiculously generous along the way.
This is why I encourage everyone to attend FPU… maybe even more than once ?
FPU helps you created a simple money plan that you can follow called the 7 Baby Steps. This is the only financial playbook you need to win with money. And it really works. Forget everything you know about money-management plans.
With Dave’s 7 Baby Steps, you don’t need a degree in finance to take control of your money. Anyone can do it! With each step, you’ll change how you handle money—little by little.
If you are not sure you are ready for the 7-week FPU class… I would highly recommend getting Dave’s #1 best-selling book, The Total Money Makeover. It’s loaded with inspiring stories of people who have learned how to manage their money the right way. It’s the simplest, most straight-forward game plan for completely making over your money habits. And it’s based on results, not pie-in-the-sky fantasies.
Look for the helpers
Fred Rogers was the host of the popular long-running public television children’s show Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. One of his most famous pieces of advice to children was “Look for the helpers”… which seems like excellent advice – especially in a time of disaster or tragedy.
If you find yourself in a situation where you don’t know what to do – or you are feeling anxious, I believe Fred has a great suggestion. If you look, you can always spot those that are willing to give aid. If you don’t see them… you aren’t looking hard enough.
But, I would like to take this idea a step further.
Instead of looking for the helpers, I desire to Be A Helper.
The fastest way to achieve success is to first help others succeed.
If I can help you in any way, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to connecting with you.
Here is to your success!
