Okay, so here is the full title: The Real-Life MBA: Your No-BS Guide to Winning the Game, Building a Team, and Growing Your Career written by Jack Welch and Suzy Welch
This book is perfect for the corporate executive types and HR professionals… which I am not. That said, I found this book to be very insightful and full of practical advice for managing a team and career. If you are interested in business, like me, then this is worth reading. If you are an upwardly mobile professional or someone who inspires to be – this is a must read.
Based on this book, I am guessing Jack & Suzy Welch’s other book: Winning: The Answers: Confronting 74 of the Toughest Questions in Business Today is equality relevant. I have not read it, but they make several references to it. Working inside and consulting with some of the business companies around, I have no doubt this power couple can give great tips & pointers on how to create a “Winning” culture and/or team.
Conclusion: If you have your MBA or thinking about getting one, I would highly recommend this book. If you own or manage a small business, this book might not be right for you… unless, like me, you are interested in all things business and want an insiders view – this book is well worth the time to read.
